Review by hotel critic
Maxx Inn is a charming little hotel that strikes a decent balance between value and comfort. Located about 15 minutes from the airport, it offers easy access to both the central Bayterek Tower area and the Silk Road shopping centre. The earlier check-in was much appreciated after my overnight flight, which made settling in a breeze. The room, while compact, features comfortable beds and essential amenities such as air conditioning and a kettle. The on-site laundry was a welcome convenience, and the free wifi kept me connected while capturing Astana's beauty. Nearby, you'll find a few good restaurants and small shops for essentials. Breakfast isn't a buffet but sufficient for a solid start to the day. A nice touch was the availability of 24-hour reception to assist with any queries. Just keep in mind that exploring the sights involves a fair bit of walking, or you can always opt for Yandex taxis. For the price, Maxx Inn is a practical choice for budget-conscious travelers looking for basic comforts while exploring the city.
